Tips for Healthy Lungs

Preventing Lung Disease

Did you know that household cleaners, perfume, and common pesticides are all lung irritants? Or that allergies and changes to hormone levels (like during pregnancy or menopause) can impact a woman's lungs and airways?

Luckily there are three simple things you can do to keep your lungs healthy:

1. Get a flu shot each year.

2. If you smoke, consider quitting.

3. If you have a cough, shortness of breath, or can't exercise like you used to, talk to a doctor.
